Madelyn’s Kitchen Remodel

I was hired by Madelyn to work with her and her contractor on the remodel/refresh of her existing kitchen. Keeping in mind the demographics and style of the home, we wanted to modernize, upgrade and lighten the overall dining and kitchen area without going over her budget and what we felt fit within the neighborhood when considering resale.

It was a fantastic project in which simple, budget friendly changes made a huge impact on the entire kitchen, dining and family room area. Redesigning the kitchen island was key to opening the overall area. We also cleaned and refinished the existing cabinets, changed hardware, upgraded counter tops to granite slabs and added a new range and range hood. New island and under cabinet lighting along with new glass subway style tile added light. Other small, but significant adjustments were made to give additional space to the dining area and improved dimension and wall proportions. Everything combined, expanded and lifted this space and has enhanced Madelyn’s time and efficiency when either preparing meals for her family or entertaining friends.
